Buying credits
Top up credits offers fixed amounts or a custom figure.
1
Open the Credits card
Go to Settings → Billing and find Top up credits on the Credits card.
2
Pick an amount
Choose 25, 100 or $250, or click Custom and type your own
figure. Custom amounts are captioned “USD (1 – 5000)” and must be whole dollars.
3
Pay
You are taken to a secure checkout page. The charge is taken in your billing currency —
USD, AED or SAR — at the rate set for your plan.
4
Come back to Billing
You are returned to Settings → Billing. The credits land on your balance as soon as the
payment clears, and a topup line appears in Recent activity. If you back out of
checkout you see “Checkout was cancelled — no changes were made.”
You need an active plan to buy credits. If your workspace has no plan yet, subscribe first —
see Plans.
Auto-recharge
Auto-recharge buys credits for you the moment your balance drops below a level you choose. It is the way to make sure AI replies never stop mid-conversation because the balance ran dry.Auto-recharge takes a threshold in credits and a top-up amount in dollars.
1
Open the settings
On the Credits card, find the Auto-recharge row and click Edit.
2
Set your threshold
The threshold is in credits — when your balance falls below it, a top-up fires. The
default is 100 credits.
3
Set the amount
The amount is in dollars — how much to buy each time it fires. The default is **5,000.
4
Turn it on
Save. The Credits card then summarises it as “On — recharges $X when balance falls below N
credits”.
What you need first
Auto-recharge needs a card already on file. If you have never completed a subscription checkout, turning it on fails with:“A saved payment method is required to enable auto-recharge. Complete a subscription checkout first.”Subscribe to a plan (or complete any checkout with a card) and then come back.
How it behaves
- It is checked immediately after each charge is settled, so it fires as soon as a debit takes you below the threshold — not on a schedule.
- It can fire more than once in a month if your usage keeps outpacing the top-ups.
- While auto-recharge is on, Callivox stops sending the low-credit warning email — there is nothing for you to act on. See Running low and running out.
- If a charge fails — an expired card, for example — you get an email so you can fix it before work is blocked.
- Turning auto-recharge off keeps your threshold and amount, so switching it back on later takes one click.
Payment methods
Cards are handled by the secure payment portal, not by Callivox. Click Manage subscription on the plan card to open it, where you can update your card, change billing details and view your payment history. Your billing currency — USD, AED or SAR — is chosen at your first checkout and is locked while you have an active subscription.Workspaces billed by an account manager
Some workspaces, typically Enterprise customers paying by bank transfer, are billed offline. On those workspaces there is no top-up button and no auto-recharge; the Credits card shows:Billing is managed by your account manager.Credits are added for you when your account manager books a credit pack. Contact them to buy more.
Invoices and receipts
- Invoices are listed at the bottom of Settings → Billing, with links to the hosted copies.
- Receipts for subscription payments are emailed to you automatically.
- Top-up confirmations are emailed after each credit purchase.
- Recent activity on the same page shows the credit side of every payment: a topup line when you buy credits, a monthly refill line when your plan renews.
