# Plans

> What each Callivox plan includes, and how to subscribe, upgrade, downgrade or cancel from Settings → Billing.

Your plan decides three things: how many credits you are granted each month, how many automation
runs you get in a billing period, and which features and limits your workspace has.

## What each plan grants

| Plan | Price | Credits per month | Automation runs per period |
| ------------------- | ----------- | ----------------- | -------------------------- |
| **Trial** (14 days) | Free        | 100 credits, once | —                          |
| **Free**            | \$0         | 0                 | 0                          |
| **Starter**         | \$39/month  | 1,000             | 10,000                     |
| **Growth**          | \$179/month | 5,000             | 50,000                     |
| **Business**        | \$349/month | 12,000            | 250,000                    |
| **Enterprise**      | Custom      | Custom            | Unlimited                  |

Credits roll over: each monthly payment adds its grant to your existing balance rather than
replacing it. Automation runs do not roll over — the count resets each billing period.

<Note>
  The **Trial** grants 100 credits once, for 14 days, and is limited to one channel, one AI agent
  and two users. The **Free** plan is what a workspace falls back to when a trial ends without a
  subscription; it grants no monthly credits and cannot be bought — the plans page shows it as
  *"Assigned automatically when your trial ends."*
</Note>

## What differs between plans

Beyond credits and automation runs, plans differ in which features and channels are switched on
and how large the workspace can be. Each plan card lists exactly what that plan includes, ticked
or crossed:

* **Channels** — WhatsApp Business, Instagram DMs, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and the other
  channel types
* **AI reply engine** — AI agents answering conversations
* **Knowledge base** — uploading documents your agents can answer from
* **Voice calls** — AI voice agents making and taking calls
* **Integrations & automations** — connectors and automated flows
* **API & MCP access** — connecting Callivox to your own systems and AI clients

Plans also carry limits on the number of users, channel connections and knowledge-base storage.
If you hit one, Callivox tells you which limit you reached and on which plan. You can raise some
limits without changing plan by buying add-ons — see the **Add-ons** card on **Settings → Billing**.

<Tip>
  Read the plan cards rather than assuming: feature availability changes as plans evolve, and the
  cards are generated from your live plan configuration.
</Tip>

## Choosing or changing a plan

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the plans page">
    Go to **Settings → Billing** and click **Change plan**, or **Pick a plan** if you do not have
    one yet. The page header reads **"Choose a plan"** — *"Subscribe to a paid plan or stay on
    your trial. You can change plans any time; usage carries forward."*
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick your currency">
    Use the **USD / AED / SAR** selector at the top. Once you have an active subscription this is
    locked, and the selector is disabled with the tooltip *"Billing currency is locked to your
    active subscription."*
  </Step>

  <Step title="Subscribe">
    Click **Subscribe** on the plan you want. You are taken to a secure checkout page to enter
    your card. Enterprise plans show **Contact sales** instead.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for confirmation">
    After paying you are returned to **Settings → Billing**, which shows *"Confirming your
    payment…"* while the payment clears. This usually takes a few seconds. If it takes longer the
    page tells you to refresh in a minute — your subscription updates automatically once the
    payment is confirmed.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Your current plan is marked with a **Current** badge and its button is disabled.

### Upgrades and downgrades

* **Upgrading** to a more expensive plan can take effect immediately. The price difference for the
  rest of the current period is charged pro-rata, and the new plan's limits apply straight away.
* **Downgrading** to a cheaper plan is scheduled for your next renewal. You keep the plan you are
  paying for until the period ends, and the plan card then shows *"Scheduled switch to **{Plan}**
  at next renewal."*

Credits you already hold are unaffected by either move — they carry forward.

### Monthly or annual

Plans are listed at their monthly price. Annual billing is also available and works out around
17% cheaper than paying month by month for the same period. Your plan card shows your actual
price and interval — for example `$179/month` or the equivalent yearly figure — along with the
renewal date.

## Cancelling

Click **Cancel** on the plan card. The confirmation dialog explains what happens:

> **Cancel subscription** — *"Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current
> billing period, after which it will not renew. You can re-subscribe at any time."*

Choose **Yes, cancel** to confirm or **Keep subscription** to back out. The plan card then shows
*"Will cancel at end of current period."* Nothing is deleted, and you keep any credits you still
have — but with no active subscription there are no further monthly grants.

<Warning>
  Cancelling does not refund the current period, and no credits are refunded. If you only need to
  spend less, consider moving your agents to a lower effort level instead — see
  [How credits are spent](/billing/how-credits-are-spent).
